He was predeceased by: his wife Jane Kosior Nadeau; his parents, Francis Nadeau and Romaine Nadeau; and his brother Francis Nadeau Jr.. He is survived by: his daughter Heather Pontikes (Peter); his grandchildren, Christopher and Nicole; his significant other Peggy Lamb; his partner's sons, Jim Cruickshank (Natalie), Mike Cruickshank (Julie) and Eric Cruickshank (Fan); and his nephew Lance Nadeau (Cathy). He is also survived by her 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
