He was predeceased by: his daughter Maureen Monin (David); his grandchild Kelsie Monin; his parents, Frank Julian and Jennie Julian; and his brother Horace (late Jean).

He is survived by: his wife Lucia "Lucy" Julian; his daughter Teresa Barr (John); his granddaughter Leah Leahy (Mike); and his brother Nicholas Julian (late Rose). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

If desired, donations may be made in James's name to ALS Association Northern Ohio Chapter.
