She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Burgstahler and Frances Burgstahler; and her sibling Russell. She is survived by: her children, Joseph L. Bongiovanni, Rebecca A. Meyer (Jason) and Michael R. Bongiovanni (Erin); her grandchildren, Kyle Meyer (Katy), Kodi Meyer, Emma Bongiovanni, Kaleb Meyer and Binah; and her siblings, Jill Carl (late Jack), Nancy Cote (Francis) and Jeffrey Burgstahler (Viola). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Nazareth Lutheran Church, 265 Skillen St, Buffalo, NY 14207.
