He was predeceased by: his wife Carol J. Cook; his parents, Victor Cook and Viola Cook; and his stepfather John Somers. He is survived by: his children, Debora Cook, Michael Cook (Pegge), Linda Holland, Susan Fiscus (James) and Nelson Cook, Jr. (Heather). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, WNY Chapter.
