He was predeceased by: his former wife Victoria Floriano; and his parents, John Floriano and Rose Floriano. He is survived by: his wife Mary Petz Floriano; his children, John Samuel Floriano II (Belinda), Cheri Floriano Keetch (Kevin) and Mark Floriano; and his daughter-in-law Karen Floriano. He is also survived by one brother and four sisters; also survived by many grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Samuel's name to The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or Hospice Foundation.
