TROY -"Eugene A. Stephenson , 62, of Troy passed away peacefully 0n Monday, May 28, 2018 surrounded by his loved ones after a long courageous fight with cancer. Eugene was survived by his daughter Kristen N. Cordero, favorite son in law Rick A. Cordero, his granddaughter Amelia G. Cordero (Bug), grandsons Anthony J. Cordero and Tyler M. Cordero, his best friend Barbara Plant (Aunt B.), mother and father Myrna and Irving Paris, sister and brother in law Yvonne and Paul Lajeunesse. He was predeceased by his grandmother and grandfather John and Bertha Connors, and his Aunts Mary, Maureen, and Muriel. Eugene retired from Freihofers , while he was also working at Owens Corning where he has recently retired. When Eugene decided it was time to settle to only one job, he spent his free time doing what he loved most, planning family vacations and trips to Cape Cod. Services will be held on Saturday at 10 am at the Frank P. McDonald & Son Funeral Home, 870 Second Avenue Troy, NY 12182. Calling hours will be 4:00pm – 7:00pm, Friday June 1st, 2018. In lieu of flowers, Eugene would like donations made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204.
