With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Armistead Tyler of Trumansburg, New York, who passed away on March 5, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As David Armistead departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though David Armistead may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy David Armistead leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his brother Robert R. Tyler; and his parents, Ruth U. Tyler and William R. Tyler. He is survived by: his wife Lucia Tyler; his children, Andrew Tyler (Katharine) and Emily Tyler; his grandsons, Jackson and Caleb Tyler; and his cousins, Barbara Birdsey and Vera Lister.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Taughannock Park (1740 Taughannock Blvd, Ithaca, NY 14886).
