He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Pickens and Mary Luella Pickens (Murdock); and his grandson Owen Dean Pickens. He is survived by: his wife Marsha Pickens; his children, Ian Purnell (Kawi) and Eliza Pickens; his grandchildren, Brisen, Weston, Layla and Alaina; his siblings, Kenneth Pickens (Mary), Bruce Pickens and Jean Merriman (David); and his sister-in-law Janet Busch. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
