With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Angela Zegarelli VanDerhoof (Utica, New York), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Angela left this world on October 2, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vincent "Jim" Zegarelli and Josephine "Josie" Zegarelli (Arcuri); her friend Senior Volunteer Award; and her husband Thomas VanDerhoof. She is survived by: her friends, StageWorks, CollegeWorks, Phi Delta Kappa, Paul Harris Fellow, Utica Rotary, Betty Arcuri, Joanne Donaruma Wade, Anne VanStrander, Mary Jane Tottey and Leeanne Wereszynski; her close friends, Carmen Arcuri, Paul Schaeffer, Joseph, Madeline Hobika, James, Ruth Turnbull, JoAn Cardamone and Tony Militello; her son Thomas S. "Scott" VanDerhoof; her child-in-law Jann VanDerhoof of Cibolo, TX; her daughters, Rebecca A. "Becky" VanDerhoof, New Hartford and Heidi VanDerhoof Coluzza (Michael A. Coluzza); her grandchildren, Matthew V. Fonner, Emma Jo Fonner of Springfield, MA and Sophia V. Vallese; her sibling's children, Anna and Rick Gargiulo; her great-niece Grace; her uncle Raymond Arcuri; and her aunt Janet Cannistra.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc. (932 South St, Utica, NY 13501). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Mother of Our Savior Parish (2222 Genesee St, Utica, NY 13502).
