He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Merendo and Edith Knezich Merendo; and his son David E. Merendo. He is survived by: his wife Susan Graff Merendo; his children, Kimberly Crandall (David) of Wasilla, AK, Tammy Capone (Mark) of Amsterdam, NY and Anthony Merendo (Amy) of Amsterdam, NY; his sister Lucy Merendo; his grandchildren, Samantha Gibson, Logan Crandall, Valentino and Mila Merendo; and his great grandchildren, Caleb Gibson and Harper Short. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
