He is survived by: his wife Betty Coates (Robinson); his sons, Marshall Coates (Barbara) of Dickerson Maryland and Michael Coates (Michelle) of Apalachin; his granddaughters, Julie Henry (Andrew), Emily Haus (Matthew Fundis) and Sophia Coates; and his parents, Roy Coates and Fredericka Coates (Mast). He is also survived by four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
