With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Rita Balanda (Johnson City, New York), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by : her parents, Michael Wasco and Katherine Wasco; her sister Margaret Popik; and her husband Michael Balanda. She is survived by : her son David; her daughter-in-law Theresa Balanda; her daughter Carolyn (Roger O'Shaughnessy); and her granddaughter Carly Balanda.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michaels Orthodox Church, 296 Clinton St, Binghamton, NY. 13905 Rita never forgot a birthday and was quick to arrive on your doorstep with a pot of chicken soup or a homemade cake.
