He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Patella and Filomena Tolomieri Patella; his son Thomas; and his brothers, Matthew and Anthony.
He is survived by: his wife Theresa; his sons, Michael A. Patella of Pine Bush, Christopher Patella (Mary) of New Windsor and Salvatore F. Patella (Angela) of Wallkill; his grandchildren, Christopher and Agnes; and his brother John "Jack" Patella of Virginia. He is also survived by Several nieces and nephews.
