He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Swart and Helen Swart (Holmes); and his sister Flora Whitney (Swart). He is survived by: his wife Joan Swart (Strong); his grandchildren, Lynda Swart, Brian Pelkie, Justin Powers, Lorrie, Peter Allen, Rebecca, Timothy, Randy, Sue Swart, McKenzie and Eric; and his brother William of Raleigh, NC. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and extended family.
