He was predeceased by: his wife Beverly J. Wheeler Nichols; and his children, Daniel Nichols and Margaret Minardi. He is survived by: his parents, Conrad Nichols and Grace Davenport Nichols; his children, Eugene Nichols, Jr. (Pat) and Catherine Harmke; his stepchildren, Dean Chilson (Bobbie), Paula Chilson and Darlene VanZile (Raymond); and his siblings, Frank Nichols and Carolyn Osgood (Jeff). He is also survived by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
