It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard James Sweet (Watertown, New York), who passed away on May 28, 2025, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Delong and Amy Jean Sweet (Tousant). He is survived by: his children, Amanda Jane Sweet of Watertown and Alexander Scott Sweet of Watertown; his siblings, Gordon Sweet of Watertown, Gary Sweet (Samantha) of Watertown and Brenda Hudson (Chris) of Watertown; his nephew Terry Sweet of Watertown; and his niece Ellen Majo (Billy Brasie) of Theresa. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home (632 State St, Watertown, NY 13601).
