He was predeceased by : his parents, Leo F Philipson and Nellie Philipson (Johnson); his daughter Dawn Philipson; and his brother-in-law Robert A. Moore. He is survived by : his wife Jane Philipson of Holland Patent; his children, Denise Schreiver (Kevin) and Philip Philipson; his stepsons, Todd Hoffman (Donna) and Timothy Hoffman; his former life partner Peggy (Powers); his grandchildren, Porter Philipson, Erin and Lindsey Schreiver; his stepgrandchildren, Athena Hoffman, Karli Selva, Hannah Hoffman, Jordon Hoffman, William Hoffman (Megan), Bryan Hoffman (Sharlyn), Chelsea Warney (David) and Alysa Hoffman; his sister Carol Moore; and his siblings-in-law, Ralph E. Moore and Jacqueline Moore.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Lutheran Home.
