She was predeceased by : her parents, Leon Holton and Katharine Swarthout Holton; her husband Ernest Knowles of Watkins Glen; her daughter Kathie Long; her grandson David Ruocco; and her sisters, Frances Allen, Florence Fuller and Freda Johnson.

She is survived by : her son Lonnie; her daughter-in-law Shido Knowles; her daughter Valerie; her son-in-law Gary Howe; her grandchildren, Stephanie Spry (James), Sean Howe (Emily Sheridan), Erin Howe (Marc Schuricht), Aric Knowles, Serina Knowles, Brian Williams and Brandon Williams; her great grandchildren, Chelsi Diegs (Josh), Brandon Showalter (Addie), Alexis Wojciechowski-Spry (Lea) and Isla Schuricht; her brothers-in-law, Harry Knowles and Stanley Knowles (Esther); and her brother Kenneth. She is also survived by three great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
