He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Smith and Christine Smith (Mace) of Chemung; his siblings, Robert, Cecile and Barb; and his daughter Antoinette.
He is survived by: his wife Viola Mae Shipman Smith; his children, James Smith (Diane) and Stan Smith (Lisa); his grandchildren, James Smith (Kim) of Lockwood, Amy Smith of Waverly, Sheila Armstrong (Ty) of Kentucky, Jonathan Smith of Waverly and Lee "Bear" Smith (Lexy) of Ithaca; his great grandchildren, Daylen Smith, Cora Smith, Drew Smith and Kyra Smith; and his siblings, Betty Stedge of Bryon, NY, Virginia Knickerbocker of Elmira, Shirley Hartman (Harry) of Horseheads and Nelson Smith (Carol) of Elmira. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
