It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lawrence G. Varney of West Stockholm, New York, who passed away on May 14, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his siblings, James Varney and Mary Ann Fuller; his half-brother Charles Varney; and his parents, Frederick Varney and Ella Farnsworth Varney.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Varney; his children, Annemarie Adams (Rick), Kim Thompson (Bruce), Michael Varney (Penni) and Cory Varney (Trish); his grandchildren, Brad Adams (Mary), Tylar Varney (Amanda), Andy Varney (Jaime), Michelle Kunz (Rob), Christopher McGrath (Kandie), Justin McGrath (Maura Mayer), Patrick McGrath (Amy), Chad, Cole, Will, Halle Varney, Troy Thompson (Mindy), Lacey Thompson (Brad Francis) and Devin Chambers (Haven LaBar); and his half-siblings, Frederick "Corky" Varney and Eileen Slater. He is also survived by 38 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
