He was predeceased by: his parents, Augustine Fanara and Rose Fanara (Suglino); and his siblings-in-law, James Tomasello (late Della), Louise Sarafinas (Larry), Betty Budelewski (Frank) and Sonny Tomasello (Debbie).
He is survived by: his wife Joann (Tomasello); his children, Thomas Fanara (Lisa), Dina Johnson (Mark) and Michelle Fanara-Mauro (Tony); his grandchildren, TJ (Katie), Kristin Fanara, Lauren, Mitchell, Hannah, Cal Johnson, Jay, Anthony and Daniella Fanara; his great grandchildren, Aiden, Mia, Declan and Vincent; his siblings, Vera Telesco (late Sam) and Dennis Fanara (Susan); and his brother-in-law Peter Tomasello (Joann). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews cousins and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Roberts Funeral Home (1671 Maple Rd, Williamsville, NY 14221). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations in Joe's name may be made to Hospice Buffalo.
