He was predeceased by: his parents, John Reeves and Callie Reeves; his stepfather Stanley Foster; and his sisters, Jean Potoreiko and Frances Hedge.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Marie; his sons, Michael, John (Colleen), Scott (Lauren) and Daniel (Jennifer); and his granddaughters, Erin, Hailey and Katie.
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church of St. Aidan (505 Willis Ave, Williston Park, NY 11596). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Long Island National Cemetery (2040 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735). A burial will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Irish American Center (297 Willis Ave, Mineola, NY 11501).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation (T2T.org) or the American Cancer Society in John's memory.
