She is survived by: her sister Carol Griffith of Williamsville; her niece Jennifer Griffith; her nephew Kevin Griffith (Jennifer); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Joshua, Matthew, Victoria and Teresa; her aunts, Clara and Letha; and her parents-in-law, Stella and Harold Sherman. She is also survived by several cousins; many friends and neighbors.

We had many visits and went to dinner on several occasions. Joan was such a caring and loving person, never thinking of herself. She was tireless in helping others.
