He was predeceased by : his parents, John Coggiola and Primitiva Verquer Coggiola; his former life partner Sarah J. Cimo Coggiola; his wife Margaret M. Passanise Cresanti Coggiola; his sisters, Josephine Race and Erma Coggiola; his daughter-in-law Deborah Conklin Coggiola; and his stepdaughter Debra Cresanti.

He is survived by : his children, Celeste Straka (James) of Dallas, GA, Peter Coggiola (Deborah) of Silver Springs, NY and John Coggiola (Jill) of Liverpool, NY; his grandchildren, Julia Straka, James Peter Coggiola (Robin), Thomas Coggiola (Amanda), Kelsey Boyd (Jared), Nicholas Coggiola, Julie Coggiola and John Coggiola; his stepgrandchildren, Chris Straka and Amanda Straka; his great grandchildren, Maddison Coggiola, Dominic Coggiola, Devin Coggiola, Dylan Coggiola, Benjamin Coggiola, Lillian Coggiola, Jacob Coggiola, Maddox Boyd, Averie Boyd and Hudson Louis Boyd; and his stepdaughters, Judy Cresanti and Cynthia Hinsdale.

A rosary was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 at 1:45 PM at the Falconer Funeral Home, Inc. (44 W Falconer St, Falconer, NY 14733). Visitation was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location. A wake was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 at 4:45 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church.
