He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas and Teresa Pettit of Garvary; his wife Kathleen; and his siblings, Kathleen McLoughlin, Lily Mitchell, Esther Clyne and Thomas Pettit.
He is survived by: his sister Phyllis McCluskey (Scotland) of East Kilbride; his daughter Denise Collins (Patrick) of Brooklyn; his grandchildren, Teresa, Marie and Joseph; his son Kevin Pettit (Marta) of Yonkers; his grandson Liam; his daughter Michelle Lynch (James) of Doylestown, PA; his grandchildren, Colin and McKenna; his son Gerard Pettit (Darlene) of Yonkers; his grandson James; his daughter Kathleen Kilfoil (Daniel) of Oyster Bay; and his grandchildren, Kaela and Colette.
