He is survived by: his parents, Guilhermina Tome and Agostinho Tome; his wife Vilma; his children, Beatriz Tome (Nuno), Jeannette Gadaleta (Peter) and Agostinho Tome; and his grandchildren, Raquel, Paul, Mark, Sofia, Brianna, Isabella, Cristina and Carolina.
