He was predeceased by: his parents, Hal Nielsen and Katharine Nielsen; and his sister-in-law Louise Nielsen of New Hampshire. He is survived by: his siblings, Gerard of New Hampshire and Patricia Nelan (Bobby) of Pearl River; his siblings' children, Jonathan (Marnie), William (Arianna), Caitlin, Corinne and Tara (Andrew); his great-niece Layla; and his great-nephew Rory.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:15 AM at the Hodder Farenga Funeral Home (899 McLean Ave, Yonkers, NY 10704). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Barnabas Church (409 E 241st St, Bronx, NY 10470).
