He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Kearney and Anne Kearney of Arklow, Ireland.; his siblings, Elizabeth Kearney and Mathew Kearney (Katie); his siblings-in-law, Virginia, Paul Porrini, Leonard and Catherine Thomas; his spouse Clare; and his son Edward.

He is survived by: his children, John (Linda), Ellen, Susan, Stephen, Kevin (Sue Ann) and Kathleen Semenza (Daniel). He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
