John Kolesar Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Kolesar (Steubenville, Ohio), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 28, 2025 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John Kolesar to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Charles and Mary Helen Skolosh Kolesar; his brother Francis Paul Kolesar; and his niece Cheryl Kolesar. He is survived by: his siblings, Dominican and Peace Barbara Rose Kolesar; his sister-in-law Helen Kolesar; and his siblings' children, Sharon Siegfried (David), Sheila Crawford (Jeff) and David Kolesar (Katrina). He is also survived by six great nephews and four great nieces.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Casimir Catholic Church (221 Hanna Ave, Adena, OH 43901).
Memorial contributions can be made to, St. Casimir Monsignor Kolesar Memorial Fund in order to carry on his Legacy of Generosity. (Fund for retired Diocesan Priests and Religious residing in Nursing Home unable to pay for expenses associated with their basic personal needs. And also for struggling seminarians.).
