She was predeceased by : her mother Elizabeth Bennis; her niece Caroline Hupp; and her nephew Daniel Bennis. She is survived by : her father Walter Bennis; her caregivers, Executives and Executive; her husband Robert; her children, Megan Levenson (Jeremy), Kate Bradley (Aaron), Matthew Feeney, Sara Mueller (Mike), Aaron Wessman and Tyler Wessman-Conroy (Maria); her siblings, Nancy Hupp, James Bennis, Robert Bennis, Jeffrey Bennis, David Bennis, Steven Bennis and Matthew Bennis; and her grandchildren, Ian Feeney, Sean Feeney, Colin Feeney, Samuel Bradley, Anna Bradley, Maverick Mueller, Kyen Mueller, Cecilia Wessroy and Louis Wessroy. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Joan's family expresses heartfelt gratitude to the physicians, nursing staff and support team at Cleveland Clinic Akron General for the outstanding and compassionate care they provided during Joan's fight against Covid-19.
