He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewitt and Ethel; his son Jeremy; and his siblings, Bill and Edith.

He is survived by: his wife Diana; his children, John, Kevin and Robin; his daughters-in-law, Ann Marie and Cathy; his sister Dortha Kovalchick; and his grandchildren, Schuyler, Breanna and Mackenzie West (Marshall).
