He was predeceased by: his wife Betty; and his siblings, Esther, Alice, Daniel and Roy.

He is survived by: his children, Gail Norris (Frank), Dale Carder and Ray Carder (Wynn). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
