He was predeceased by : his father Johnnie Felder; and his grandparents, Hardy, Mary Felder, Rufus and Flora Thompson.

He is survived by : his sons, John-Michael Felder II and Joshua M. Felder of Cleveland, OH; his mother Virginia Felder; and his aunts and uncles, Bertha Hamilton, Sarah Simpson, Catherine Felder, Gloria Felder of Atlanta, GA, Betty Felder of Montgomery, AL, Turner L. Thompson of Florence, AL, Albert Sankey, Jessie Felder, Claude Felder, Kennedy Felder and Anthony Felder of Montgomery, AL. He is also survived by cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
