He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Lee Muster and Mary Alice Porter Apple. He is survived by: his children, Sarah, Marcus, Joe and Alex; and his sisters, Kellie, Amy and Julie.

Donations may be made to St. Francis De Sales Parish, 4019 Manchester Rd. Rusty donated his remains to Cleveland Clinic.
