With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vernon Jenkins (Akron, Ohio), born in Midland, Maryland, who passed away on December 7, 2018 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Jenkins and Susie Jenkins; and his siblings, Joe, Tom, Ray, Wayne, John Jenkins and Evelyn Caler.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Evelyn Jenkins; his children, Rebecca Newport (Gary) of Memphis, TN and David Jenkins (Karen) of Mogadore, Ohio; his grandchildren, Stephen Newport, Jonathan Newport of Memphis and Rachel Brown (Bradley) of Painesville, Ohio; his great grandchild Caleb Brown of Painesville; and his siblings, Richard Jenkins and Phyllis Heathman of Akron, Ohio. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
