He was predeceased by: his siblings, Barbara Jean George, George Carpenter and Donald Carpenter. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl; his children, Dawn Carpenter (James Humphreys) and Richard Carpenter; his grandchildren, Emily, Abby, Dylan and Brayden; and his sisters-in-law, Jill Carpenter and Tonya Carpenter. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to The Ronald McDonald House 141 W. State St., Akron, OH 44302 in Bill's name.
