He was predeceased by: his mother Jeanette Vitale; his brother Leo Vitale; and his nephew Steven Vitale. He is survived by: his father Anthony Vitale; his siblings, Greg (Flo), Francine, Lisa (Vince), John, Noelle and Stacy (Mike); his children, Tony of Alliance, Tina of Alliance, Lora (Tim) of Alliance, Michelle of Portage Lakes and Stacy (Alan) of Alliance; and his grandchildren, Antonio, Angelo, Anastacia, Apollo, Arabella, Giovanni, Brittani, Allison, Jordan, Jessica and Joseph. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made towards his grandchildren's college fund - checks payable to Francine Vitale.
