It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dorothy Schartiger (Alliance, Ohio), who passed away on September 9, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Kommel and Mary Kommel; her husband Charles W. Schartiger; and her siblings, Robert, Lawrence, Raymond, Donald, Dwight Kommel, Alta Shoemaker and Helen Baith.

She is survived by: her children, Jean Paul (Tim), William Schartiger (Sharon), John Schartiger and Tim Schartiger; her grandchildren, Michael Paul (Heather), Laurie Azeglio (Carlos) and Lisa Schartiger; and her great grandchildren, Henry Zimmerman and Camille Azeglio.

The family asks that social distancing guidelines be respected and that guests bring their own masks.
