He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Hoover and Willa Hoover (Johns); his wife Mary L. Hoover (Taylor); and his brothers, Glen and Gayle.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Hoover (Sally) and Linda Pauli (Mike); his grandchildren, Amy Hoover, Carolyn Caywood (Brandon), Michelle Bade (Chris), Mark Pauli (Kristin), Michael Pauli (Brenda) and Matt Pauli (Jamie); and his great grandchildren, Alex, Nick Caywood, Sarah, Michael, Ryan Bade, Tyler Posey, Rylin, Ashlyn, Caitlen Pauli, Kayla, Emily Pauli, Austin and Olivia Callahan.
