It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louise Emelia Akers (Alliance, Ohio), born in Wayland, Kentucky, who passed away on January 21, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Samuel Collins; her husband Harold Akers; her siblings, Mina Bixler, Samuel Ray Collins and Durell Collins; her mother Rena Mae Collins-Koch (Fox); her grandson Roger Michael Akers; and her daughter-in-law Barb Akers.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth E. Akers (Mary) of Beloit, Donald L. Akers of Warren, Roger M. Akers of Alliance, Harold Akers Jr. (Sue) of Louisville, Debra K. Deonarine (Kenny) of Alliance, Annette L. Soehnlen (Bob) of Navarre, Shelle M. Huff (Arnold) of Canton, Theresa Bee (David) of Levittesburg and Brenda S. Schlabach (Ryan) of Canton. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
