He is survived by: his wife Mary Garnes (Williams); his children, Marie Unkefer (Dwain) of Beloit, Nelson Garnes (Shelley Pierce) of Beloit and Ralph Garnes (Carmen) of Alliance; his grandchildren, Heather King, Meara Garnes, Emily Unkefer and Eric Unkefer (Heather); his great grandchild Bryer Unkefer; and his siblings, Dolly Morrison (Gene) of Minerva and Lawrence Garnes (Carolyn) of Alliance.
