He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen "Lena" Favazzo Barnes and Ted Baumgartner of North Carolina; and his sister Sarah Harrell of North Carolina. He is survived by: his wife Sara (Calderone); his sons, Robert T. Baumgartner (Kelly Green) of Alliance and Brian S. Baumgartner (Nicky White) of Minerva; his sister Patricia Barnes Roman (Garry) of Alliance; his sister-in-law Angela Calderone Tortora (Angelo); and his brothers, Leslie M. Barnes (Joanne) of Homeworth, Dick Baumgartner (Pam) of North Carolina and Tom Baumgartner (Dede) of North Carolina.
