He is survived by: his grandson Rajani Thompson; his former wife Rebecca; his grandson John; his brothers, Terry and David Oye (Analu); his children, Gregory S. A. Oye of Louisville, Sharon E. K. Oye (Keyairis Thompson) of Gulfport, Jane L. M. Oye (Shannon Rowe) of Alliance and John H. K. Oye of Alliance; and his grandchildren, De'Marion (Nohea), Ryleigh Rowe (Hoku), Ja'Niya, Kylen and London Thompson (Anuenue). He is also survived by many cousins and in-laws.
