She was predeceased by: her former husband Paul E. Strain; her sister Ludivina Peters (Lu); her brother-in-law Norm Peters; and her brother Israel Garcia. She is survived by: her husband Joseph Niamtu, Jr.; her children, Michael Strain and Linda Freconna (John); her grandchildren, Violet, Joshua, Jeremy, Lennon, Christy Strain, Johnny Freconna and Jenifer Freconna; her daughter-in-law Chris Fletcher; and also, Joseph Niamtu III (April), Marilyn Holbrook (Dennis), James Niamtu and Lisa Waite (Scott).
In lieu of flowers the family welcomes donations to the Basilica of St. John the Baptist in Canton or Walsh University in North Canton.
