He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Oyster and Kathryn Oyster (Lowry); his son William Oyster (Mike); his nephews, Gregory Day and Scott Christen; and his brothers-in-law, James Day and Gene Bielz.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Jean Oyster; his children, Steven Oyster (Karen), Dennis Oyster (Diane) and Linn Marso (Lorenzo); his grandchildren, Jessica Redding (Bill), Joshua Oyster (Laura), Adam Oyster (Mara), Daniel Marso, Kate Tees (Michael), Allyson Oyster, Megan McPhail (Jake) and Luke Oyster; his great grandchildren, Lauren Oyster, Gavin Redding, Gabe, Lily Fontenot, Samuel Clare, Mackenzie Oyster, Daniel, Joseph Marso and Gabriel Tees; his siblings, Marilyn Christen (Robert), Arlene Bielz and Alan Oyster (Barb); and his sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Day and Barb Oyster. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
