She was predeceased by : her parents, Charles Girts and Eva Mae Creighton Girts; her husband Walter E. McElwain; and her siblings, Arthur, Robert, Grace Girts, Ella Serenko, Margaret Williams and Betty Freese.
She is survived by : her children, Ronald W. McElwain (Jane) of Lima, Sharon A. Lewis (Rex) of Florida and Susan M. Darm (William) of Apple Creek; her granddaughters, Eva McElwain, Emily Beair (Chad), Stephanie Hudson (Kristoffer), Ruth Wonderly (Michael) and Ellen Lewis; and her siblings, Charles, Donald Girts and Carole Wire. She is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.
