He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Pal Sr. and Irene E. Pal (Rich); and his sisters, Bertha Gordy and Kathy Donahue. He is survived by: his wife Dinah Y. Pal; his children, Tara Jean Tackett (Michael) and Michael Potter (Emily); his grandchildren, Wisdom Davies (Mannie Rodriguez), Rhythm Davis, Caleb Potter and Declan Potter; and his siblings, Joe Pal (Rhonda), Ed Pal (Kim), Cindy Dunbar (Gary), Debbie Jones (John), Tony Pal (Liz), Greg Pal (Michelle), Shirley Aldorasi (Bob) and Steve Pal (Joanna). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Private family services were held , memorial contributions can be made to family.
