He was predeceased by: his parents, William Shelton and Mary Shelton (Smith); his grandson Philip Shelton; and his siblings, Alanzo Smith, Donald Shelton and Frank Bukoski.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Sue Steed; his children, Jefferey Shelton (Desiree), Robert Shelton (Amanda), Ronald W. Shelton and Kimberly L. Wilkinson; his grandchildren, Savannah, Wyatt, Gabriella, Isabella and Angela; and his siblings, Larry Smith, Chris House, Judy Diehl, Barbara Boenzli, Janice Phillips and Mike Bukoski. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and his brothers and sisters-in-law that he loved like they were his own siblings.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Ashtabula County APL.
