She was predeceased by: her parents, William McGhee and Elsie McGhee; her husband Lowell Gallaway; and her grandchildren, Jennifer and Aleksander Kroutel.
She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Searles (Richard), Michael Gallaway (Guinivere) and Ellen Kroutel (Mark); her grandchildren, Logan Gallaway (Jennifer), Marjory Johnson (Andrew), Heather Giles (Patrick), Kirby Gallaway (Lisa Vore), Allyson Kroutel and Katarina Kroutel; her great grandchildren, Luz and Joe Gallaway; her sisters, Virginia Dean (Dick) and Patsy Suter; and her sister-in-law Louise Kish (John). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
