It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Judy Rae Brooks McGinn of Athens, Ohio, who passed away at the age of 78, on March 8, 2021. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Viola Mae and Raymond Orley Brooks; her husband Dick; and her siblings-in-law, Joseph McGinn, Chris McGinn and Dora McGinn.
She is survived by: her children, Andrew (Christine) and Colleen of Phnom Penh; her granddaughter Mairéad; her pet Wiggles; her siblings, Linda Brooks and Bill Brooks (JoAnn); her sister Mary Lou McLane of Michigan; and also Ryan.
Ever the librarian, she kept young Mairéad reading, reading, reading on skype throughout the pandemic so that she would not fall behind even when schools were in zoom. Judy had spent the entire past year diligently staying safe and socially distanced, only to contract the deadly coronavirus while awaiting her second dose of vaccine.
